In the materialistic and hectic routine life, the obvious question, we should ask ourselves. Are we happy from inside out? I am sure; everybody of us will have the same answer. Not 100%. Surprisingly, this is a truth. Human, being a bundle of never-ending needs and wishes, can’t be satisfied fully and they keep on their search of satisfaction which leads to happiness in their life.
I have spent my 29 years of life in search of happiness. Gradually, I have learned to live happy with my dissatisfaction. One won’t satisfy 100% and will always have reasons to be unhappy. Are we prudent in finding any reason to be happy?
In teenage, I was cursing myself for not being loved as I wasn’t into any relationship. I was staying in girls’ hostel during my college days and I witnessed that everybody, except me, was in their relationship and was busy in chatting with their loved one.
During college time, we had a group of 9 close friends where 4 are the couple and 9th one was me. Even though they are my close friend to date (and will be forever), I was feeling disconnected sometimes. Despite getting enough attention during their company, I found a reason to be unhappy.
There are tons of things which can make you sad, but at the end of the day, you need to find happiness from yourself only. Else you will lose yourself over a period of time.
When I was having the satisfied career, I was worried about my marriage, when I settled in married life, I was worried about pregnancy. When I became a mother of a beautiful daughter, I again started worrying about my career. This is like a circle which doesn’t have any full stop.
We can’t satisfy ourselves fully but can do a favor towards it always. Can we do only one thing which makes us happy? I have practiced the same and believe me it is working superbly for me. I am sure; it will work for you too. I believe this is a real medicine for happiness.
We live in an illusion that, changes in life would bring happiness and we crave for changes every time, which may not be true always. But doing a favorite thing in a day would definitely make you happy. We are always lost in our routine multi-tasking activities for which we must proud of it. Still, we must find some personal time for ourselves at least 30 mins a day. Practice your favorite activity. Let it be cooking, swimming, hitting gym, dancing, reading etc. Don’t worry about your age. Just go for it.
I am an adventurous person and I always love to try various thrilling activities. After having a beautiful daughter, I developed a mental block that, I would not be able to try such activities due to post pregnancy effects. With all my surprises, with the support of my family, I got my pill of happiness. I again started enjoying adventurous activities. Skydiving was the most exciting and memorable experience which I enjoyed just after 8 months of childbirth so ladies, Don’t feel boundaries, chase your dreams and enjoy your life to the fullest.
I have found my happiness by perusing my career in Yoga and walking on a path to become a Yoga Entrepreneur. When are you going to take your pill for happiness? Trust me, it will definitely work for you.
These small moments will act as Pill for your Happiness.
